Nursery

At Great Hockham, our Nursery children learn within a mixed-age class alongside our Reception pupils. This approach allows them to play, explore, and develop with older children who model positive behaviours and learning habits. It gives our youngest learners a confident, nurturing start to their education. 

We kindly ask that children are toilet trained before joining our Nursery wherever possible. If this is not yet achievable, families are expected to provide their own nappies or pull‑ups, along with wipes.

The school provides all Nursery children with milk and fruit every day, free of charge. If you would like your child to stay for lunch, you may provide a packed lunch or opt for a school meal; school meals are charged at £2.61 per day.

Any hours beyond the 15 or 30 free hours parents are eligible for are charged at £6.50 per hour. A full school week is 32.5 hours.
