Welcome to Rabbit Class

2023 - 2024

2022-2023

Welcome to Rabbit Class. We are a fun-loving class of Nursery and Reception children who have settled beautifully into our routines and are making super progress!

My name is Miss Bryan and I am privileged to be the Class Teacher. Our amazing Teaching Assistants are: Mrs Hayes, Mrs Searle, Mrs Shipley and Mrs Cross.

In our class, we are learning to be independent and happy to "have a go", we know that we don't have to be good at everything and we may not know something "yet" but we are brave enough to take a risk.

Let us show you around!

Our Week

It is incredibly busy!

We all have daily Phonics and Maths lessons and our English is a combination of exploring vocabulary, guided reading 3 x per week, listening to lots and lots of stories, making marks and writing.

PE is once a week on a Monday and as well as lots of quality time developing all of the areas of our learning through play, we enjoy learning about the world that we live in and demonstrate lots of wonderful creative skills.

Here is a snap shot of our first few weeks in Reception.

We worked so hard in the first half term of our learning journey that we earned enough acorns to choose a treat. We chose an autumn picnic and had so much fun!

These videos show how to practice the phonemes your children are learning if they are in Reception.

We have also put together a booklet for you below. This models the letter formation we are encouraging the children to use at school. We hope you find it helpful when you are writing with your children at home.
